Our track records in the construction of stadia, bridges and other infrastructures, demonstrate our ability and competence in the field of Civil Engineering and associated fields.
Our approach in tacking all the above listed problems would be the following:
1. To provide training facilities that will cater for skills acquisition by local youths in the areas of welding Technology, Industrial Electrical Installation, Masonry, Cabinet making all carpentry, Mechanical Maintenance and Structural Fabrication. Where these facilities do exist, one could strengthen the training programs by ensuring adequate training personnel as well as adequate materials. Where the facilities are nonexistent, with the assistance of the local ruler ship, enough land would be acquired for the installation of such training facilities.
2. In the area of social facilities like borehole water, hospital/clinics, schools and games facilities, the company having provided the skill acquisition centre, would want to build a health centre to also take care of the people’s health. It is also obvious that past neglect either by Government/oil companies has left some of these revering oil-production areas in a primitive state probably worse than what they used to be before oil exploration started in these areas. Depending on whether the project areas are in the swamp or on land, the waterways may have to be dredged and motorized boats provided for transportation. In the alternative. If the location is on land, then a motorable road necessarily should be provided for the community.
3. What needs to be has to be determined after an extensive study of the area in question, and following an elaborate discussion with both the community leaders and the youths of the areas to determine what their priorities are supposed to be. Again budget availability for such community development programs will also determine the limits of what can be done.
